Sealink plastic thirty years on.

This is an environmentalist's worst nightmare, it is a piece of plastic from a Sealink ferries item found on Margate beach on the 13th December 2016. Sealink ferries ceased to exist in July 1984. So for at least 32 years this piece of plastic has been in the marine environment and is still intact.

  1. I'm surprised it's still in one piece, I would have expected it to have degraded into thousands of tiny pieces by now - and a big percentage of those pieces to have been ingested by marine life.
